We had quite a few days starting with Mopdog getting a hair cut. I didn't take him to the groomers like I had planned on because time just wasn't available. Justin and I gave him a hair cut ourselves. You can actually see his eyes now. Mopdog is one of our strays that didn't have a home and now is one of our family members.

This is Bisquick, I call her Bissy, she was spayed this week and is still a little fuzzy from it. She did really well, but I think she was so scared and being that she is already a very nervous dog, dropped a few pounds since Monday night when she was dropped off at our vets office. She is a bit traumatized from the whole adventure. Of course she did eat a couple pieces of buttered bread, I guess that was too much of a temptation.

Next is Dottie. Dottie was brought home from a convenient store during a visit from Randy and Laci. She was homeless and very skinny. And after having lunch and her wieghing on our minds, Randy and Eric went back to the store to get her and she also was spayed Tuesday with Bissy. She still is a bit tired, sleeping a lot on Justin's bed. She doesn't seem to interested in going outside for more that to do her business and shes back in and back on Justin's bed. Soon she should be back to her old self again.
That's about all thats been happening this week. I will be heading to NC to visit with my grand baby and children on Sunday. I can't wait. Besides my calling to care for unwanted animals, my grandbaby is my life and with Noah on the way, it troubles my heart so much to be so far away. It wasn't supposed to be this way. I'm not sure that I'm crazy about the color but believe me it looks better than it did before I started. I had originally picked the color for the formal sitting room but because I change my mind often, it landed in the bathroom and hallway. For anyone reading my blog, we purchased a old stone home built in the early 1930's and we are renovating and boy we had no idea the challenges that were ahead. I have learned alot. Laci, my daughter asked that I post pictures so she could see how it turned out. This are not very good but I couldn't seem to get better ones.

I'm always posting my animals because they have become very important to me here in TN. This is Sweeney Todd, named by my daughter Lynsey who Sweeney belonged to before she came to live with me. At Lynsey's apartment she had full range of the apartment to play in and Lynsey had her litter trained, at our house she has been a bit afraid to rome, and after having her for about 6 months now, she has just become curious enough to snoop around. This is my first time blogging so be patient with me if my blogging seems a bit scattered. With family far from us and learning to become so thankful for my daughter's blogsite that allows me to see my granddaughter anytime I feel I need that "Fix", I decided to begin blogging myself. Christmas this year was spent here at home in TN with my Parents, grandmother (age 92) and two of my children, Justin and Lynsey and of course my husband. We had a really good day, it was quite cold and with the fireplace going our house was nice and warm and as I look around I realize that my husband and I have everything that we hoped to have, animals, lots of dogs, property to stretch out on and an old house that we are slowly renovating. The only thing that we don't have and always took for granted, is family. I have my parents here but my husbands family are still in Florida and my husband continues to pressure them to move close, my daughters which are in NC but also are being very heavily pressured to move closer. Its funny when your goal and life dream is to move and obtain property in a state that offers seasons, you don't prepare yourself for the emptiness of life long friends and family that you will leave behind. I guess because you are so used to having them close that you don't know what it will feel like when they are not here. I have recently lost my brother which we were not prepared for, it has changed my life. I don't know if I will ever recover from it, I think about him every day and my heart hurts so bad it scares me. Going through this has caused me to understand how important family is, I don't want to lose even a day from the people that we love in fear that tomorrow we may not have a day with them. Soooo, I will be blogging often, We have experience many changes here in TN. It takes an hour to run to the store, and at Christmas, people cut trees off their own property, there are no Christmas Tree Stands in the Walmart parking lot. There's no animal control here and I sometimes think we have become an animal shelter. We have just found homes for 19 puppies that were born in our basement from strays that have decided that our home is theirs and being that my mine and my husband's hearts hurt for homeless animals, became the owners of all their puppies. By the way, we still have a female boxer mix, a female white and black mix and a male coon dog mix if anyone is interested. I walk out on our property with my son to cut down our Christmas Tree and all of our adults dogs (7 in all) dart in and out of the woods with their tails wagging and it warms my heart. I am posting some pics and I will post again later.
